This is hubby's sister Diane. The train is no longer at Spring Lake Park. I am trying to find out info about it. I'll post if I do. Hubby thinks the train originally was at Putter Playland on State Line Ave where Legends Gym is now. mojavegirl on Flickr: Posted a Photo mojavegirl on Flickr: Posted a Photo
This was originally part of the Tri-State Motel. The second floor was the living quarters of the owner. There was a gas station, store, hobby shop and motel office on the first floor. Most of the motel was sold years ago. This part remained since it is connected to the old hobby shop and living quarters. The couple lived there until they moved to a nursing home. Mr. Burgdorf died years ago, the Mrs. maybe five years ago. The man who owns Tri-State does NOT like pics made of his motel. He will try and run you off and call the police if he sees you. I would love to have some of the wrought iron for my morning glories. There are also several old mexican style concrete statues on the back fence of the motel. I'd like to have one of those, too. Next time I am feeling lucky, I'll get some pics. wowkelley on Flickr: Posted a Photo mojavegirl on Flickr: Posted a Photo mojavegirl on Flickr: Posted a Photo
Would I ever love to see that Nettles clock and the screen doors. The clock is STILL around! One of the relatives has it and the butcher block from the store. How wonderful! a.dragonfly on Flickr: Posted a Photo

Rose Hill is the oldest cemetery in Texarkana TX. Otis Henry was killed in WWI. His mother built this memorial to him. He used to have a rifle in his hand. It was broken in half for years and now it all is gone. mojavegirl on Flickr: Posted a Photo mojavegirl on Flickr: Posted a Photo
